If an infant or toddler does not have a "high probability" condition, it does not mean that the child will not or cannot be found eligible for Infant and Toddler Intervention. The local school district should complete a comprehensive evaluation of the child and consider informed clinical opinion to establish eligibility for children under the age of three in the absence of qualifying scores on the evaluation and with appropriate medical documentation.

There may be conditions listed in the database and on the excluded conditions document included within the website that are not consistent with Minnesota's current guidance.

The family will be contacted by the local school district to arrange for a screening or evaluation to determine if their child is eligible for Infant and Toddler Intervention or Preschool Special Education services.
